This is a superbly sweet, crisp and delicious carrot that we have grown for years in our market garden. This variety dates to the 1850s and was bred originally in France. It is widely adapted. Highly recommended.

 

Planting Instructions: Direct seed carrots as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. Sow carrots shallowly, ¼ to ½ deep, in rows 12-18 inches apart approximately 30 seeds per foot. Ideal spacing is 1-2 inches between plants.

Germinate: 7-21 days

Water: Moist

Harvest: 65-75 days
