Sugar Snap Peas

4.00

Vigorous plants that can reach up to six feet tall. These peas are very sweet and have an extended harvest period. Does tolerate some heat. A garden staple since 1979. Edible pod.

Planting Instructions: Peas can be planted directly to the garden as soon as soil can be worked in the spring. Soaking the seeds over night can help with germination in drier soils. Sow seeds 1-2 inches deep, 20 seeds per foot, in a band. Plant in two rows 8-10 inches apart. Peas can be spaced tightly with on plant ever 1-2 inches. This variety is best trellised. The trellis can be placed between the rows so the mature plants can climb it. Peas prefer a cooler climate for best flavor and yield, so the earlier they are seeded the better. Can be planted for a fall crop as well.
