Bred in the 1950’s, Waltham 29 is one of the last “old fashioned” varieties, having looser flower buds on a bushier plant. It is significantly higher in nutrients than more modern varieties.

Planting Instructions:  Sow indoors in early spring and transplant to the garden 15 to 18 inches apart. A great variety for fall planting. The cooler the weather, the better the flavor.

Sow: March-April,  July-August

Germinate: 5-8 days

Water: Moist

Harvest: 75-85
